**Makes 4 dozen**
1 stick butter, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 T. milk
1 cup chopped macadamia nuts (I left out the nuts and added 1/2 cup more of the cherries and the chips)
1/2 cup dried cherries
1 1/2 cups white chocolate chunks
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
1. In medium bowl, with electric mixer, cream butter and sugars together until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until just combined. Set aside.
2. Sift together flour, soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
3. Add milk to the butter mixture and then slowly add the flour mixture to it. Mix until just combined by hand. Batter should be stiff.
4. In another bowl, combine nuts, cherries, and white chocolate. Then add to batter, stirring by hand only to blend.
5. Drop heaping tablespoons onto a greased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart. Bake for approximately 11-13 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
