Green Bean Casserole

1/3 stick butter

1/2 cup onions, diced

1/2 cup mushrooms, chopped

4 cups green beans, sliced

3 cups chicken broth

2 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of mushroom

1 lg. can French-fried onion rings

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. pepper

1/2 tsp. garlic powder

1 cup grated cheddar

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

1. Melt butter in a large skillet and saute the mushrooms and onions.

2. Boil green beans in chicken broth for 10 minutes and drain. Add to the onion mixture, along with the mushroom soup, onion rings, and seasonings. Stir well and pour into greased 13 X 9 inch baking dish.

3. Bake for 20 minutes, then top with cheese and bake for 10 minutes longer or until cheese melts.
