Matt’s Favorite Lasagna

****This lasagna is made w/o Ricotta or Cottage cheese****


1/2 lb. lasagna noodles

1 lb. ground beef

1 medium onion, chopped

2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce

1 T. Italian Seasoning

1 tsp. garlic powder

1 tsp. oregano

1 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. pepper

1/4 tsp. basil

2 cups Cheddar cheese

1 egg, beaten

1 T. parsley

2 cups mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Several pepperoni


Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 13 X 9-inch pan

1. Combine beef and onion in skillet and brown. Drain well. Stir in tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, oregano, salt, pepper and basil. Simmer for 20 minutes on low.

2. In separate bowl beat egg with parsley.

3. In the greased pan, layer 1/3 each of noodles, meat sauce, egg mixture, and both cheeses. Cover pepperoni over first layer. Repeat layers and top with Parmesan.

4. Bake for 40-50 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
