Slow-cooker Turkey Chili

 1.25 lb. ground turkey

1 large onion, chopped

1 T. minced garlic

1 (1.25 oz.) envelope chili seasoning mix

1 (12 oz.) can beer

1 1/2 cups frozen corn

1 red bell pepper, chopped

1 green bell pepper, chopped

1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes

1 (15 oz.) can black beans, drained and rinsed

1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce

1 tsp. salt

Toppings: shredded cheese, chopped red onion, chopped fresh jalapeno


1. Cook first 4 ingredients in a large skillet over medium-high heat about 8 minutes. Stir in beer and cook 2 minutes.

2. Spoon turkey mixture into slow-cooker and stir in corn along with the rest of the ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 6 hrs.
