Pumpkin Kissed Cookies

3 1/4 cups flour

1 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. ginger

1 tsp. cinnamon

1 cup butter

1 1/3 cup sugar

1/4 cup  molasses (or maple syrup)

1 tsp. vanilla

1 egg

cinnamon and sugar mixture

45-50 Pumpkin Spice Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped and frozen.


***Preheat oven to 375 degrees***
1. In a medium bowl mix together dry ingredients. Set aside.
2. Using a  mixer, cream sugar and butter. Add molasses, vanilla and egg, and the flour mixture and mix until blended.
3. Roll the dough into 1 1/2″ balls. Roll each one in a cinnamon and sugar mixture and place 2 inches apart on a parchment lined baking sheet.
4. Bake for 8 minutes. Remove from the oven and immediately place a frozen Hershey kiss in the center of each cookie. Cool on wire rack. I moved the entire piece of parchment to the rack, thus saving time, and the possibility of a cookie bending.
